The Sutton Coldfield transmitter is located in Sutton Coldfield near Birmingham. It is the third most important transmitter in the UK. It began transmissions on the 17th December 1949, becoming the first television transmitter to broadcast outside the London area.
The station is now owned by Arqiva.

Litchfield Transmitter

Once upon a time this transmitter was the main Midlands station for ITV analogue Band III from 1956.
When UHF TV was launched all services were transferred to the nearby Sutton Coldfield Site.
However, when Channel 5 launched in 1997 it was first transmitted from Litchfield until it too moved to Sutton.
Although it is firmly located in the West Midlands it still transmits the Derbyshire DAB service as it clearly covers much of that County.
Allesley Park Relay

Bromsgrove

Bromsgrove provides a full Freeview service and is a relay of Sutton Coldfield. It is sited on a hill
overlooking the M42 and M5. It covers the town of Bromsgrove along with Droitwich, Ombersley
and parts of south west Birmingham.

Fenton is now a full Freeview station which began broadcasting BBC 2 on the 3rd November 1969 with the addition of BBC 1 in August 1971, ITV from January 1972, Channel 4 from August 1983 and Channel 5 from 2nd August 1997. The digital service began in 1998. It stands out clearly on a hill overlooking the potteries town of Stoke on Trent and is a relay of Sutton Coldfield.

This Freeview Light transmitter is fed from the Sutton Coldfield transmitter carrying the West Midland services of the BBC and ITV. It is sited not far from the Alton Towers Resort in Staffordshire. The transmitter serves the nearby village of Cheadle and surrounding area. It is the most northerly of Sutton's relay stations.
